Wild Rockies

The long standing mountain bike race series for southern Idaho is the Wild Rockies, which will hold four events.  The new Southern Idaho Downhillers will be joining forces with Wild Rockies to organize the Downhill race series in hopes to make this the best season of racing possible.

The Wild Rockies events are USA Cycling sanctioned.  All riders must have either an annual or daily USA Cycling license to compete. Race fees average $30 to $45 per event.

Southern Idaho Downhillers & DBQ Events:

DBQ (Downhill Barbecue) events are a ride/race format that focus on having fun. These events are not sanctioned by any cycling governing body and will be put on by the Southern Idaho Downhillers mountain bike club. There will be a charge for events ranging from $15 to $25 with discounts for S.I.D. club members. The ride or race will always end with a BBQ and raffle. DBQ are family friendly and will offer alternative activities for children and spectators. Race formatted DBQ events, although not sanctioned, will have prizes awarded to race winners.

BAMBA - EAGLE BIKE PARK Club Time Trials:

The BAMBA - Eagle Bike Park is now an IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association) affiliated park. These rides will be run as club events, categorized as time trials; they will be low key and free to BAMBA club members. These events are more of a "gathering" type atmosphere and will not have awards, they are for bragging rights and practice purposes only. BAMBA club gatherings will be held Tuesday evenings throughout the summer.
